Here Kitty, Kitty!

What a busy week! D.R. was gone for a nine day hunt over the past two weeks. He drew on a big buck tag that he had been drooling over for the last eight years. So while he was off hunting (playing...) Colt and I hopped around from Kathy and Dean's house to my house with a friend staying over, to a mini vacation to Amber's house in Portland. (poor Colt is too afraid to stay by himself at home when his dad is gone...ok, fine, you all know me well enough to know that I am the one who's the scaredy-cat...luckily I have great family and friends willing to accomodate my fear! :) ) Anyway, so D.R. got his buck...a 4x5, and Colt and I had some good times, too. Colt flew on an airplane for the first time. I was quite nervous about flying with a squirrely little boy but it went great! Kathy flew with us and helped immensely~its a two person job!!! At Amber's house we enjoyed the terrific shopping Portland has to offer...coffee...yummy food...coffee...Ikea...coffee. :) And BEAUTIFUL fall colors!!!! Wow! Anyway, so about the pictures: Amber has two petite little cats (that's a joke, Amber!!!) that she adores. Colt is in complete agreement with this adoration. The whole visit we were having to protect the poor felines from his rapid and determined advances.

Zack the Kitty thinks he's safe from Colt with a barrier between them...give Colt another month and he'll be crawling up on that lounge and bear-hugging the cat for all he's worth!This is the closest Zack willingly got to Colt all weekend...he was tired of sharing Amber and must have sensed Colt was currently incapacitated.
